Chief Executive Trump has ordered the movement of government personnel from the state of California to Oregon in the wake of a judicial ruling that prevented his previous plan to mobilize the military reserve in the city.

This deployment sidesteps a judge's order that had prohibited the sending of personnel in Portland by rather employing reserve members who were earlier deployed in Los Angeles after recent demonstrations in the region.

The state's Gov Newsom promised to pursue a lawsuit over the manoeuvre, which he labeled a "breathtaking misuse of the statutes and authority".
