Jet Transporting Pete Hegseth Required to Land in UK Due to Fracture in Windshield

A jet transporting Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth was forced to make an emergency landing in the UK on Wednesday following a fracture was identified in the plane's windshield, as stated by an official announcement which stated that the secretary was unharmed.

"The aircraft landed following standard procedures and all individuals on the flight, among them Pete Hegseth, is secure," an official representative said in a public statement.

He was traveling back from a short visit to the Belgian capital at the time.

This incident isn't the initial instance that a US military aircraft carrying a high-ranking official has suffered equipment failures.

Earlier this year, a US Air Force plane transporting the US Secretary of State to Munich was compelled to turn back to the US capital after suffering a mechanical fault.
