According to latest data, the count of individuals reaching 100 in the UK has doubled from 8,300 in 2004 to 16,600 in 2024.
Between 2004 and 2024, the figure of men aged 100 or over has increased threefold from 910 to 3,100. Over the same timeframe, the number of female individuals reaching 100 almost doubled from 7,400 to 13,600.
We are keen to receive stories from centenarians, their family or companions, about what it has been like to bear witness to the past century’s major happenings and developments.
